‘The Dappled Flap Warbler’ has its roots in my childhood. When I was small I drew a strange creature, inspiring my father to write a narrative poem. I thought his poem was so good that later in life I decided to illustrate the whole thing properly and turn it into a children’s book. Together we edited the content to update it, and then I illustrated, designed and published the book.

I was commissioned to create this vinyl art for a piano recording of Debussy’s ‘Children’s Corner’, performed by classical pianist Tara Clifford. The vinyl contains 6 classical tracks which were composed specifically for children. Each track is represented by different aspects of the illustration, merged together in a dreamscape which is supposed to depict a children’s room being transformed by the child’s imagination as the music plays. Talking KS2 Science Posters – Mantra Lingua

I was asked to conceptualise, design, illustrate and script a set of fun posters to aid the teaching of science at a KS2 level. Here are some examples. The audio information and interactive activities are accessible with a device called “TalkingPEN”. The posters are being used in schools across the UK.

I was commissioned by Infocandy to design and illustrate this leaflet for a pawnbrokers targeting Asian jewelry specifically. The design was also used as a bus stop banner.

One of the puzzle trails I designed doubled up as a nature trail in which participants were encouraged to spot various wildlife along the way. I painted these watercolour illustrations to help with the identification.
